The newest evolution of the Cara Cara Rescue, the Cara Cara Rescue 2 has skeletonised stainless steel liners providing increased rigidity and strength. It also has a Fibreglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN) handle with Bi-directional texturing for increased traction, even in the most demanding environmental conditions. The blade is a new full hollow ground, Sheepfoot blade with a SpyderEdge, this provides improved edge geometry and cutting performance while protecting against accidental punctures.
To complete the package, a four-position pocket clip allows the knife to be conveniently carried on either side of the body in either the tip-up or tip-down position.
Whether you're a duty-bound rescue workers or a prepared civilian, your kit isn't complete without the new Cara Cara Rescue 2.
The blade features Spyderco's two-step serration pattern consisting of one large and two small serrations. This pattern increases the cutting edge's surface area by up to 24%.
FIBREGLASS REINFORCED NYLON HANDLE
The Fibreglass Reinforced Nylon (FRN) Handle is made from tough, chemical and heat-resistant material that is extremely lightweight and versatile.
The Cara Cara 2 features a conventional Back Lock.
In addition, custom knifemaker David Boye removed a small arc of metal from the lock bar lever of his knives. This modification reduces the possibility of gripping the handle hard enough to depress the lock bar and accidentally unlock the blade during use.
The blade has a blunt rounded tip and a straight cutting edge. The lack of a traditional point reduces the chances of accidental punctures around livestock, inflatable watercraft and during emergency cutting.
